Update On Father 6/22/2016

At this point, father is completely bedridden and unable to walk.  His condition continues to further deteriorate.  Please continue to pray for him that he will have peace throughout this time.

O my Lord and Savior, support me in my last hour by the strong arms of Thy sacraments and the fragrance of thy consolations. Let Thy absolving words be said over me, and the holy oil sign and seal me; and let Thine own body be my food and Thy blood my sprinkling; and let Thy Mother Mary come to me, and my angel whisper peace to me, and Thy glorious saints and my own dear patrons smile on me, that in and through them all I may die as I desire to live, in Thy Church, in Thy faith, and in Thy love. Amen.

  1. Dear Jonathan, thank you for posting this update. I am very upset to hear this… do doctors know what is wrong with him? Is he dying? I sent him Lourdes water last year & have prayed for him. Why must we lose good priests? I miss him & hope you keep his blog online, it’s our only connection to him. (We who are not in AZ) Sincerely in Christ, Thérèse

    1. 2. We will continue to pray for our beloved Father Carota. Please keep us posted as you can.

  3. We offer all prayers and love for you Fr. Carota. We miss you in Phoenix, yet we know that all is according to God’s most holy and Divine Will. We entrust all prayers to Our Blessed Mother and Her Immaculate Heart. Thank you Fr. Carota for your courage and priesthood.

  4. I am so sorry that Fr. Carota is suffering and am praying for him — the prayer you recommended, as well as this one, which is a favorite that I copied from a local church hymnal. I pray that Fr. Carota receives many blessings and consolations from prayers offered on his behalf. He is a beloved priest and servant of God.

    IN TIME OF SUFFERING
    Lord Jesus Christ, by your patience in suffering
    you hallowed earthly pain
    and gave us the example
    of obedience to your Father’s will:
    Be near me in my time of weakness and pain;
    sustain me by your grace,
    that my strength and courage may not fail;
    heal me, if it be your will;
    and help me always to believe
    that what happens to me here
    is of little account if you hold me in eternal life,
    My Lord and my God.

  5. Father Carota…. I told you last year, that you were a ‘victim Soul’, chosen by our Lady as a ‘true and holy’ Priest… to save Souls through your suffering. I sent you the piece of Her Veil. Remember, it is to stay with you. I am in heart failure. I am not afraid. At the moment you leave this ‘valley of tears’… dear & Holy Priest- you will see Her, and She will lead you to her Son, Our Lord. Pray for me in Heaven Father Carota and ask for mercy on my Soul. I hope to meet you there one day soon…..

  6. My heart is also saddened by this news, just as I found hope in a priest that truly gives his self for the Church to help all us learn and understand where we all need to be in the world. God bless dear Father Carota. I pray he may stay strong to continue to help us. Johnathan, thank you. Please help us to be able to continue to hear the Lord’s voice in this world so cold.

  7. Thanks for this prayer and to Jan Sampson for the prayer she copied. I have prayed them for father. I had hoped he would get better, but his suffering is Christ’s suffering. You love us, your flock, and now we love you back in our continued prayers for you.
    .Mother Mary is there with you, by your side, holding you and we are there too, with you in our prayers for you.
    I will continue to pray for you, dear Fr Carlotta.

  8. May God have Mercy on you and help you through your sufferings.
    You are in our prayers.
    God bless.

  9. Dear Father Carota,

    I pray that Our Lady and Our Lord, all the angels and saints, comfort you now and always.

    My prayers are with you.

  10. I keep thinking..in 1984, Timothy Stein and then, Peter went to a Rainbow Gathering. Their intent was to set up a sight to share God’s word and minister to the people. We were concerned when they didn’t return on schedule. The intensity of free-flowing drugs, and sex, was such an afront to Peter”s soul, he seemed to take on the pain being inflicted on Jesus, that they had to regain spiritual healing at a monastery. I wonder if there is any connection to his present ailment. FR. PETER CAROTA remains in our daily prayers.

  11. I am truly so sorry to hear of Fr. Carota’s condition. I will pray earnestly for his recovery as he is a marvelous priest and I hope the Lord and Blessed Mother will save him or bring him peace

  12. I am so sorry to hear of this, and I too believe Father Carota is a victim soul in order to save souls. I am in tears. Father Carota’s blog has helped me so much in my spiritual life. I feel much sadness and loss these days after losing my beloved Dad in 2014 and it seems that more and more very good people are leaving this earth. I pray for you, Father Carota, and love you very much. May Our Lord and Our Lady and the Holy Angels and Saints surround you with comfort during your trial. Thank you for your very holy priesthhod.

  13. Father Peter: I only recently learned of your serious illness. I couldn’t find out anything
    from anyone; it seemed to be so mysterious. I will pray for you; please know I found
    a place in not too far from az and I am very happy as a Traditional Catholic Priest, truly
    what I prepared for years ago until the roman and vatican earthquake. God bless you,
    Father. Hang in there!!!
