I still feel no relief which is hard on my faith.  I keep on barely doing all my priestly duties.  I am praying for all of you too.

  1. I really do feel sad that you haven’t felt better, but we can’t loose faith. I have faith that God will give you peace of mind. I hope that this upcoming week you will feel better. You will be in my prayers everyday. Thank you for everything Father Peter.

  2. Father,
I’m sure it is tough with your anxieties and keeping up with your duties. Just know you are a soldier of CHRIST and are spreading the true faith. GOD will always be with you working through you as you work for HIM.
may GOD bless you in all you do for HIM

  3. Dear Father, I have just come upon your blog for the first time. I don’t know what you may have mentioned previously about your anxiety, and wondered if you have tried homeopathy? Anxiety can often be triggered by something physiological and a good homeopathic doctor can do wonders with it in a very short time.

Also, no doubt God wishes to reward your obvious fidelity with the interior trials of the “nights” that will introduce your into the purest love. They can be terrible indeed. But to turn back is unthinkable! 😉 Courage!

I commend you to the heart of Mary, our Mother.

  4. Dear Fr. IKnow What Anxiety And Sleeplessness can be like. As I Suffer From The Same Thing At Times. All I Can Say Is Totally Place Your Condition In Gods Hands Offering This Up For The Sins Of All Of Us. Say To Him I Cannot Do This By Myself Help Me Lord. Resign Yourself Completely Into His Hands I Will Pray For You. God Bless Br. John Carmelite Hermit Oc d .

  5. Fr. Carota,
Know your enemy Fr. Carota. It is the Devil. He causes the thoughts and anxiety and the questioning of faith. The Devil is your enemy in this battle. This is a SPIRITUAL BATTLE! God has allowed you this cross. He, the almighty, has choosen YOU for this cross because He is knows all and this is allowed for YOUR SALVATION!!! Know your enemy is the Devil. Knowing this will help you battle and stay on the terribly, bumpy, and long path with your new cross. HAND PICKED BY GOD for YOU! We all must have a cross. Some are heavier than others. Repeat contantly, “Jesus I Trust in You.” You may think that this is a heavy cross, but GOD knows what weight you can carry. He will never give you more than is needed to make you holier. St. Pio went through this an more. God chooses our crosses. Battle and know your Enemy Fr. Carota. You can defeat the devils whispers, anxiety, and lack of sleep. KNOW THAT GOD IS PEACE and surrender all of this to the foot of Jesus on the Cross. Give him EVERYTHING and constantly repeat, “Jesus I TRUST in YOU.” You CAN carry this cross Father. We are a Traditional Catholic family and we are prayer warriors for you. You have a very special place in God’s heart for Him to allow this cross for you. Praise God in all things (good and bad). THY WILL BE DONE! You may be a Saint in the making! Endure! We love you and God bless you.

  6. “Palm Sunday of the Paul VI Roman Missal, which reads in English: Almighty ever-living God, who as an example of humility for the human race to follow, caused our Savior to take flesh and submit to the Cross, graciously grant that we may heed his lesson of patient suffering and so merit a share in his Resurrection…” -HTFVII
