There is the saying; “The proof is in the pudding”. It means that tasting the pudding, you will know if it is good or not. It is the same with any art. Look at it and see what your soul says, whether it is good or not.
The art that the Catholic Church has adopted since Vatican II does not inspire or speak to the soul of the Divine. While pastor at St. Patricks in Ripon, some parishioners brought in their old first communion and confirmation certificates. I took photocopies of them.
Then you need to ask the question; “what happened in our Church? Why do we not have these great things anymore? And that is why I am a traditional Catholic priest, because it is sacred, beautiful, fulfilling and uplifting. As the other saying goes: “A Picture is worth a million words.”
