Four times a year we traditional Catholics keep the Ember Days. In September, close to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross comes the Fall Ember Days.
Wednesday Sept. 24 and Saturday Sept 27. These two Ember Days consist of (fast), only 2 small meals (with no meat) and one normal with meat (partial abstinence).
Friday Sept. 26, is a Ember Day of fast, 2 small meals and one regular, and complete abstinence (no meat at all, all day).
