The word Politician comes from the Greek word Polis; meaning citizens, and the leaders in relation to these citizens in administrating the Greek city state. The word democracy comes from the Greek word demokratia, “popular government,” from demos that means “common people” and kratos that means “rule, strength”.
The modern understanding is that citizens give the power to the politicians to rule them. Most Catholics in authority today have succumbed to the “demonic democratic political correctness” where they bow down to man’s popular ever-changing ideologies that dictate how politicians who rule over society. Laws, based on popular sentiments, are voted on, legislated and enforced.
“Declaring that political correctness is not worth “one comma in the Apostles’ Creed,” John Cardinal O’Connor triumphantly reviewed a St. Patrick’s Day Parade kept tightly secure from homosexual intruders yesterday on a raucous, rain-drenched day in which more than 200 gay and lesbian protesters were arrested in sit-ins on Fifth Avenue.”
“Avowing love and prayers for homosexuals, the Cardinal (O’Connor) warned that he “could never even be perceived as compromising Catholic teaching” by entertaining their admission as an identifiable group in the city’s 232d parade up Manhattan’s showcase avenue in honor of St. Patrick.” The New York Times March 18, 1993
This year, as New York prepares for next years parade, Cardinal Timothy Dolan has decided to remain as the parade’s Grand Marshall even though LBGT will be able to march in “St. Patrick’s” Parade.
Cardinal Dolan said; “Neither my predecessors as Archbishop of New York nor I have ever de-termined who would or would not march in this parade, but have always appreciated the cooperation of parade organizers in keeping the parade close to its Catholic heritage.”
Neither the Catholic Church, nor Cardinal Dolan, have the actual control of the parade’s committee’s decision of who does and who does not march in the parade. But as Grand Marshall he could protest and not participate.
“The parade committee chose OUT@NBCUniversal, a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender resource group, to march up Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue on March 17 next year under their own banner. The parade organizers voted unanimously to include the NBC group, they told the Associated Press, and a parade spokesman said other gay and lesbian groups could apply in future years.” Religion News Service
As Catholic Christians, we believe, with all our heart, that all authority, (rights to rule people), that politicians have, comes from God, not man. Therefore they must live by and enforce God’s Divine Laws, whether it is popular or not.
We traditional Catholics are not popular in the Church, nor do we have any power in society. Yet we know God and will continue to lift up our “unpopular voices”, warning the Church and society, that a society or country that bases its government on man’s ever changing whims and beliefs, will come crashing down on us all. Only when society and governments are based on God’s loving laws, whether they are popular or not, will there be peace and stability.
