As traditional Catholics, we want everyone to know that the Mass infinitely more than the protestant commemoration of the last supper, but truly is the un-bloody sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary re made present.
Even though it is the un-bloody sacrifice, Jesus’ precious Blood becomes truly present in the chalice when the priest says; This Is My Blood, Hic Est Enim Calix Sanguinis mei. The Eucharistic miracle of Lanciano proves this when the priest doubted and God allowed the host to turn into Jesus’ true flesh and (what looked like wine) turn into His Precious Blood. You can still see His Body and the 4 clots of His Blood in a glass chalice.
Here are some facts about the Jesus’ Blood in the four clots of Lanciano.
- The Flesh and the Blood have the same blood-type: AB (Blood-type identical to that which Prof. Baima Bollone uncovered in the Holy Shroud of Turin).
- In the Blood there were found proteins in the same normal proportions (percentage-wise) as are found in the sero-proteic make-up of the fresh normal blood.
- In the Blood there were also found these minerals: chlorides, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium and calcium.
- The preservation of the Flesh and of the Blood, which were left in their natural state for twelve centuries and exposed to the action of atmospheric and biological agents, remains an extraordinary phenomenon.

Below: hemoagglutination test on a Flesh sample in Lanciano: left, with anti-A serum, right, with anti-B serum. It appears thus that the Flesh and the Blood in Lanciano belong to AB blood group. The consecration prayer goes on to say; “Which shall be shed for you and for many unto remission of sins.” “Qui pro obis et pro multis effundetur in remissionem peccatorum.” This precious Blood of Jesus, shed once and for all on Calvary, continues to be made present for the propitiation of sins at every Sacrifice of the Mass.
“Neither by the blood of goats or of calves, but by his own blood, entered once into the Holies, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and of oxen, and the ashes of an heifer, being sprinkled, sanctify such as are defiled, to the cleansing of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God? And therefore he is the mediator of the new testament: that by means of his death for the redemption of those transgressions which were under the former testament, they that are called may receive the promise of eternal inheritance.” Hebrews 9:12–15
