We traditional Catholics take the whole Bible in its complete sense. We are not like cafeteria Catholics, who only accept the parts of the Faith or the Bible that suits them. We believe that God is Charity. But we also believe in the other parts of the Bible, like hell, Real Body and Blood of Jesus and sexual sins.
1) Universal; believed in and churches being present all over the whole world.
2) Contains all of God’s revealed truth; given to us by Jesus Christ and passed on by the Apostles and the Bible.
3) For all times; will be the true Church founded by Jesus Christ.
4) Contains all; God, the angels, the saints, suffering souls in purgatory, living believers and sinners.
So in reality, those who do not agree with the Bible or the 2000 years of tradition, are (Their Name) christians. They are Bob’s christian church or Susie’s christian church, because they have constructed their own religion built on what they personally accept or reject. And because of this we Catholics, Orthodox and Christians are divided. The devil loves that we are divided so that he can easily destroy us and have us hate and fight against each other.
And we have known, and have believed the charity, which God hath to us. God is charity: and he that abideth in charity, abideth in God, and God in him. In this is the charity of God perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment: because as he is, we also are in this world. Fear is not in charity: but perfect charity casteth out fear, because fear hath pain. And he that feareth, is not perfected in charity. Let us therefore love God, because God first hath loved us. If any man say, I love God, and hateth his brother; he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother, whom he seeth, how can he love God, whom he seeth not? 1 John 4: 16-20.
In a Church with so much confusion and persecution of good traditional Catholics, we can forget to go to the fountain of LOVE, God. We can forget to cast our our fears and trust in the power of God’s love and protection. Let us really work on loving and trusting God as we do our small part to serve Him. Every time we begin to have fear of what will happen to us, the world, the Church, let us turn to God in prayer and give Him our fears.
Here is a story I once heard. “A man, loaded down with a lot of problems, came to church to pray. He prayed to get God’s help. But he left the church the same person. He forgot to leave the problems in God’s hands in the church and came out the same as when he went in (loaded down).” Go to the source of Love and Help, the Blessed Sacrament.
