Traditional Catholic and Pope Francis’ Position on Divorce and Abortion

We are very happy to hear Pope Francis tell the bishops from South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Swaziland that the Sacrament of Marriage is indissoluble and that abortion causes problems.

Pope Francis greets U.S. Cardinal Dolan at VaticanThe holiness and indissolubility of Christian matrimony, often disintegrating under tremendous pressure from the secular world, must be deepened by clear doctrine and supported by the witness of committed married couples,”

LIFE-GENDER“Abortion compounds the grief of many women who now carry with them deep physical and spiritual wounds after succumbing to the pressures of a secular culture which devalues God’s gift of sexuality and the right to life of the unborn,”

But in this article by CNA he also failed to say that divorced and remarried people are not able to receive Holy Communion.  “Pope Francis’ comments follow media reports about the contents of a recent phone call he allegedly made to a remarried divorced woman in Argentina. The woman claimed that the Pope told her she could receive Holy Communion.”  I hope and pray that this is not true.

All the saints say that receiving Holy Communion in the state of Mortal Sins is one of the worst sacrilegious sins one can commit.
