Traditional Confiteor and New Novus Ordo Confiteor

We have been given a better translation of the prayers in the Novus Ordo Mass.  But still look at what has been cut our to the Confiteor from what has been prayed for hundreds of years.  First we only confess our sins to God and not to the Church triumphant.   Then we leave out asking for help from St. Michael, St. John the Baptist, St’s Peter and Paul.  We need their help now more than ever.  The translation is better than before but still leaves out very important saints and St. Michael the Archangel to help us.Eucharist

Here is the original Confiteor from the Tridentine Mass.

I confess to Almighty God, to blessed Mary ever Virgin, to blessed Michael the Archangel, to blessed John the Baptist, to the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and to all the saints, (and to you, brethren) that I have sinned exceedingly in thought, word, and deed, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault. Therefore, I beseech blessed Mary ever Virgin, blessed Michael the Archangel, blessed John the Baptist, the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and all the saints, (and you, brethren),to pray to the Lord our God for me.

Here is the original Novus Ordo Confideor from the English translation.

I confess to almighty God,
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have sinned through my own fault
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done,
and in what I have failed to do;
and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin,
all the angels and saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.

Here is the newly corrected translation of the Novus Ordo Confiteor.

I confess to almighty God
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned,
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done and in what I have
  failed to do,
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grievous fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.
