Today if you pray this prayer in reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in public before the Blessed Sacrament you receive a plenary indulgence.
Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart / Actus reparationis
“Most sweet Jesus, whose overflowing charity for men is requited by so much forgetfulness, negligence and contempt, behold us prostrate before Thee, eager to repair by a special act of homage the cruel indifference and injuries to which Thy loving Heart is everywhere subject.
Mindful, alas! that we ourselves have had a share in such great indignities, which we now deplore from the depths of our hearts, we humbly ask Thy pardon and declare our readiness to atone by voluntary expiation, not only for our own personal offenses, but also for the sins of those, who, straying far from the path of salvation, refuse in their obstinate infidelity to follow Thee, their Shepherd and Leader, or, renouncing the promises of their baptism, have cast off the sweet yoke of Thy law.
We are now resolved to expiate each and every deplorable outrage committed against Thee; we are now determined to make amends for the manifold offenses against Christian modesty in unbecoming dress and behavior, for all the foul seductions laid to ensnare the feet of the innocent, for the frequent violations of Sundays and holydays, and the shocking blasphemies uttered against Thee and Thy Saints. We wish also to make amends for the insults to which Thy Vicar on earth and Thy priests are subjected, for the profanation, by conscious neglect or terrible acts of sacrilege, of the very Sacrament of Thy Divine Love; and lastly for the public crimes of nations who resist the rights and teaching authority of the Church which Thou hast founded.
Would that we were able to wash away such abominations with our blood. We now offer, in reparation for these violations of Thy divine honor, the satisfaction Thou once made to Thy Eternal Father on the Cross and which Thou continuest to renew daily on our Altars; we offer it in union with the acts of atonement of Thy Virgin Mother and all the Saints and of the pious faithful on earth; and we sincerely promise to make recompense, as far as we can with the help of Thy grace, for all neglect of Thy great love and for the sins we and others have committed in the past. Henceforth, we will live a life of unswerving faith, of purity of conduct, of perfect observance of the precepts of the Gospel and especially that of charity. We promise to the best of our power to prevent others from offending Thee and to bring as many as possible to follow Thee.
O loving Jesus, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mother, our model in reparation, deign to receive the voluntary offering we make of this act of expiation; and by the crowning gift of perseverance keep us faithful unto death in our duty and the allegiance we owe to Thee, so that we may all one day come to that happy home, where with the Father and the Holy Spirit Thou livest and reignest, God, forever and ever. Amen.”
Today, again I went to visit the sick and hear confessions. In the house was a playboy calendar. I took it down and had them throw it away before I would hear confessions. Often I am persecuted for standing up for modesty. The world and the church have accepted immodest dress. I made my stand at St. Patrick’s because I would not offend God and His mother with the sexy clothing many people come to church in. Now praying this act of reparation, there it is again clearly stating that it is an offense to the Sacred Heart Of Jesus. “offenses against Christian modesty in unbecoming dress and behavior, for all the foul seductions laid to ensnare the feet of the innocent”. There it is, saying that all who do this offend God and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. All you who are trying be modest, isn’t it wonderful to know that you are not offending Jesus and are pleasing Him and Mary.
It will not be a happy time for all those catholics and bishops and priest who have not tried to uphold modesty.
It also talks about keeping Sunday Holy. “for the frequent violations of Sundays and holydays”. Again, how many people work on Sunday. I will not even go to a restaurant because it causes others to work. Today, one of the family I visited and confessed have a bakery. I told them that they should not run the bakery on Sunday. But the man answered that is when they make the most money. I ask: “Where does money come from, work or God?” The Bible says that the man can work from early in the morning to late in the night and loose everything that he has. Others, while sleeping, God pours out His blessings. Most people do not keep Sunday Holy and want to work for money. Money is what is important. How many young students work on the weekend when they already have some money, a home and food.
We can only work on Sundays if we are in things like hospitals, fire stations, milking cows and other things that have to be done for survival, only the necessary things.
Sundays and Holydays are meant for Holy Mass, prayer, reading the Bible, relaxing, and being with the family. God keeps us in existence. God gives us everything that we have. God gives us family, time, nature, and children. Can we not give God one day a week?
The Nuns have asked me to say the novus ordo mass tomorrow for the sick people again. I was asking why we can not have the Latin Mass for the sick. Again the nun said they need to understand. I answered, can we not just give one hour to Jesus for all He does every second of the day all week long. Is it asking to much to adore God the way He is pleased. Most people say that they do not like the Holy Latin Mass. So what if you do not like it. Instead we need to ask what does God Like. I know that God loves the Sacred Holy Latin Mass. If you would just take the time to compare the two masses, you can clearly see which one is centered on adoring God and which one is centered on people.
There are so many wonderful things to know about the Sacred Heart of Jesus and how Jesus has manifested Himself to the saints for our good. The main thing to contemplate is that Jesus said that it hurts Him greatly that so few people respond to His Divine Love that He want to share with us. They are not interested. Jesus loved us first, and we respond to that love.
It is so wonderful, because we are traditional catholics, how to dress, act and adore so that we do not offend the Tender Heart of Jesus. We also ask forgiveness for all the times we have offended the Sacred Heart before we came to know true traditional values and behavior. Thank you Jesus for your personal love present in every Holy Mass.
Jesus showed His personal love for me today because I decided to go and eat with the nuns on this special feast day with out being invited. Anyway I dropped by and asked if it was alright to come for lunch. They went off and returned to say yes. When the mother superior came late to dinner, she said she had sent a text message last night to invite me. I do not check my text messages on the Mexican Cell phone. So we rejoice in that it was the Sacred Heart that brought us together for a simple meal as a priest and women dedicated to serving Jesus and the poor sick.
