A family were returning from the West Coast Walk for life and went to mass at St. Joan of Ark parish in San Ramon. The wife was the first of her family to kneel to receive Jesus on the tongue. The priest just stared at her and finally, as she said, “with great hatred” gave her Holy Communion. The same happened to her kids and husband. Can you just imagine how Jesus must feel when someone loves and respects Him so much and that is how they are treated by someone who is ordained to protect the Holy Eucharist?
Good always comes from evil. Her husband was really convinced, after this affair, that there really is a problem in respect for the Holy Eucharist. He has become a believer and will hopefully starts talking and working for more love and respect for Our Lord. Jesus, who is so so humble to come to us in that small Host. May we love and adore Him forever. Remember the prayer from Fatima about adoring the host.
Please pray for the bishops, priest, religious and laity that spiritually abuse those who kneel for God in Holy Communion. God can do great things through our love, prayers and sacrifices for the conversion of these people. Talk to them too with love.
When I was visiting Fr. Philips at St. John Cantius in Chicago, he said that these things need to be reported directly to Rome. He suggested writing to Antonio Cardinal Canizares Llovera, director of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments in Rome. Here is his address:
Piazza Pio XII, 10
00193 Roma, Italia, Europa
Also it is a good idea to write to the papal nuncio
Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano
333 Massachusetts Ave N.W.
Washington D.C. 20008
When you write, keep it short and with all details. Photos are important too. We who love tradition and sacredness need to do what we can to help our church.
